New Beginnings
New Beginnings is a weekend retreat for teenagers in grades 7-9. The weekend is led by a team of mostly teenagers, a few adults, and a spiritual director. The weekend takes us through a discovery about ourselves, our friends, our families, our faith, and how to live out our faith in our daily lives.

How might this discovery happen?
Through making new friends and sharing with old ones, through singing, skits, talks given by teens, videos, games, worship, and conversation with each other! You are encouraged to bring friends from your church and an adult who will stay through the weekend. Everyone will take an active part in the program. You can go to New Beginnings as many times as you’d like...as long as you’re in grades 7-9. We know once you go, you will want to go back. There is even an opportunity to serve on the team...you’ll hear more about that at the weekend.

Signing up is a breeze!

CHILDREN

Protecting Our Children

CPR and First Aid training has been taken by St. John’s preschool teachers and nursery employees.

Sexual Ethics Training is required by the Episcopal Church for all staff members and for all volunteers who regularly work with children and youth. The training only needs to be taken once. Watch this space for the next local opportunity to sign up. Classes are offered throughout the diocese during the year.

PRESCHOOL

An easy way to support the preschool is to link your Harris Teeter VIC card to the preschool and to ask that St. John’s Preschool get the credit when you shop at Office Depot. Preschool Director Anne Turlington thanks you for your support.

To learn more about St. John's Preschool, you may contact Director Anne Turlington at aturlington@ec.rr.com, 762-5273 (voice mail 12), or 251-8341 or visit the our webpage at
