Becoming a Member of St. John's Epsicopal Church

We welcome you in the name of Jesus Christ. It is a privilege to have you worship Almighty God with us, and we sincerely hope you are inspired and blessed by the service. A nursery is available for young children on the first floor of our office complex.   We also have hearing -assistance systems available. An usher will assist you.

All baptized Christians—no matter age or denomination—are welcome to “receive communion.” Episcopalians invite all baptized people to receive, not because we take the Eucharist lightly, but because we take our baptism so seriously. Visitors who are not baptized Christians are welcome to come forward during the Communion to receive a blessing.

The Episcopal Church considers baptized persons who have formally joined the parish to be members in good standing. Adults wishing to become members of St. John’s either as baptized or confirmed members should call the church office.

BAPTISM

Baptism at St. John's is held during the regularly scheduled Sunday Eucharist. Anyone wishing infant or adult baptism should call the church office to schedule date and time of baptism.

CONFIRMATION
Confirmation is the adult reaffirmation of Baptismal vows, and signifies full acceptance of the gifts and responsibilities of membership in Christ’s one, holy, catholic and apostolic church. Candidates are presented to the bishop for confirmation at his regular visitation. Classes are offered regularly in anticipation of the bishop’s visits.
